The applications have been developed in coordination with members of the MedInformatix client community who have rigorously tested them for patient and practice usability. One practice, TRA Medical Imaging, served as a test site for many of the applications. CEO Chris Coates says his Tacoma, Washington area practice noticed a tangible uptick in patient satisfaction and practice productivity. "Even in the early testing phase the applications have exceeded everyone's expectations. We're anxious to see the results on a larger scale once the technology is fully developed and implemented practice-wide."

The new applications offer a seamless integration to enterprises operating on the MedInformatix RIS technology platform and come FHIR API approved, helping practices meet federally mandated Quality Payment Program requirements.

When it comes to mobile functionality, McGonigle says healthcare has been playing catch-up to banking, retail and other industries. "The time has come for the sector to embrace innovation at all levels of the healthcare delivery chain. This is an exciting time for a technology company like MedInformatix to show what's possible."

MedInformatix hopes to begin widespread deployment of the application suite in the first quarter of 2021.
