Seeking those who have donated (or received) for a DOTmed story
October 05, 2009 12:24
Hello all. I am interested in talking with people who have donated medical equipment or hospitals/clinics who have received used medical equipment as donations for a story I am writing.
Anyone who has been on either end of the used medical equipment donation process, please e-mail me at email@example.com and let me know your role in the process.
I look forward to talking with you and highlighting this important service.

Betsy Gordon here - I am a dotmed 100 and certified company with a webstore. My company has recently donated a mammography system with a digitizer to Project Cure. Last year we donated computers to Salvation academy, and the year before we donated to the Mystic Aquarium and Research Institute a portable x-ray system for their rescued sea mammals. Call me in the event you would like to use the information for your story.

I have donated several truckloads to www.medshare.org out of Atlanta, Ga.
They are a highly rated charity and send out a container load of used medical equipment per week all over the world. They are a 501C3 charity supported by donations from indivuals and corporations like Coca Cola and Home Depot.
They will pick up the equipment and you can get a letter of donation as well.
