2018 Achievements Indianapolis Business Journal

Every year the Indianapolis Business Journal compiles its list of the fastest growing companies and in 2018, Probo Medical was honored to be selected as one of the 25 fastest growing companies in the area. Our company came from humble beginnings, starting off in 2015 with just three employees. Now, we are proud to currently have three locations and a team of almost 80 employees. By working urgently in everything we do, we have been able to deliver the best results to our customers these past three years!

The Mira Awards

The TechPoint Mira Awards celebrates Indiana’s best tech success stories each year. Probo Medical is proud to have been a nominee in the 2018 awards for Scale-up of the Year! Nominees were selected by 52 independent subject matter experts who evaluated and ranked the applications. The nominees then delivered presentations and answered questions in-person with one of the independent judging panels. Out of 205 applications, we were chosen to compete with 55 other qualified companies!

In 2018, our company was honored to be named one of the year’s best places to work in Indiana. We value teamwork and the hard work our employees devote to the company every day. We take our job very seriously, while still remembering to have fun and invest in the backbone of our organization: our people. Through a careful survey of employee feedback, we made the top 25 for small businesses in Indiana.

Probo Medical and MedCorp, LLC Announce Merger

One of the fastest-growing companies in medical equipment refurbishment announced a merger that will expand its services in the ultrasound industry.

Fishers, Ind.-based Probo Medical is partnering with MedCorp LLC, located in Tampa, Fla. With the merger, Probo Medical will have an extensive ultrasound system resell and repair business to complement its current ultrasound probe sales and repair departments.

Probo Medical was established in 2014 and has quickly become one of the U.S.’s largest resellers of refurbished ultrasound equipment. With 55 employees and two probe repair facilities in Fishers and Tulsa, Okla., Probo Medical offers comprehensive probe repair and resale for all 2D, 3D/4D and transesophageal ultrasound probes.

MedCorp, established in 1999, is a full-service resource for ultrasound systems, equipment and ongoing maintenance. It is the nation’s industry sales leader in ultrasound systems and service. MedCorp has 18 employees at its Tampa, Fla. location.

“We are excited about the union of these two great companies,” said David Trogden, who will be president of the combined companies. “MedCorp’s extensive ultrasound system experience, coupled with Probo Medical’s ultrasound probe focus, will create the unquestioned market leader in stocking ultrasound systems and probes.”

Probo Medical and MedCorp will continue to operate under their current names. MedCorp partners Michael Asmer, Mike Dilick and Chris Munyon will remain officers of the combined businesses.

“This merger will result in one of the most experienced teams in our industry,” said Trogden. “We are in a dynamic environment and believe our united companies will be a platform for continued growth and expansion for years to come.”

The Probo Medical Advantage

Purchase decisions are most often driven by tangibles: price, lead time, and deliverables that impact a purchaser’s business success. Probo Medical is the hands-down industry leader for new and refurbished ultrasound probes and probe repair, which shows when comparing our pricing and quick delivery options with that of our competitors. However, it’s the story behind our company that we are most proud of. Click here to read more!
