NewVue has launched a native reporting capability within its Radiologist Cockpit platform, expanding the company’s radiology workflow software to include reporting alongside case management, clinical context aggregation and quality-related workflows.
The Tampa, Florida-based company announced the update Thursday, positioning it as part of a broader effort to consolidate multiple radiology tasks into a single workspace. According to NewVue, radiologists often move between several applications during the interpretation process, creating workflow inefficiencies and additional administrative burden.
The launch comes as radiology providers evaluate reporting technology options following Microsoft's decision to discontinue PowerScribe 360, a reporting platform that has long held a significant share of the radiology market.

NewVue said the new reporting functionality is designed to work within the existing interpretation workflow rather than as a stand-alone reporting product. Features include automated presentation of clinical context when a study is opened, access to the company’s ERIK AI assistant for retrieving electronic health record information, support for both structured and dictation-based reporting, and integration with downstream follow-up workflows.
Kyle Lawton, CEO and cofounder of NewVue, said in a statement that the company developed the reporting capability in response to customer demand for tighter integration between reporting and interpretation tools.
The platform uses a modular architecture that allows organizations to adopt individual components without replacing their entire technology stack, according to the company.
Baptist Health, headquartered in Montgomery, Alabama, is among the health systems using the platform. Meagan Boutin, system director of ancillary informatics and innovation, said in a statement that the organization was drawn to the platform’s ability to combine workflow orchestration, clinical insight generation, reporting and downstream processes while allowing phased adoption.
NewVue plans to demonstrate the reporting solution at the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) annual meeting, scheduled for June 10-12, in Pittsburgh.
