Olympus HeatProbe Unit was developed to satisfy urgent medical demands for safe, reliable, and quick arrest of internal hemorrhaging. A major breakthrough in endoscopic cauterization, Olympus HeatProbe stops internal hemorrhaging using thermal energy generated by a diode chip built into its probe tip.
Olympus HPU is extremely easy to operate, guaranteeing efficient, reliable hemostasis. Besides achieving excellent hemostatic results, Olympus HPU is designed to ensure complete protection for patients as well as medical staff operating the unit, thanks to safety features far superior to currently accepted norms.
As a hemostatic device, the HeatProbe must be kept clean and sterile at all times. Disinfection and sterilization can be conveniently carried out with alcohol, an ultrasonic cleaner, formalin, ETO gas, or glutaraldehyde solutions.
