Merik Dolber - Beware

July 30, 2013 12:52

A deadbeat. Provided parts and labor for him in January 2013 to rescue his MRI scanner. Never got a dime from him for it. No issues with the parts or labor, no complaints about the job. Told us he was going to begin a payment plan and reneged on it. Steer clear.

First, and let us be clear, a corporation and not an individual contracted for these services.

No complaints about the job other than it did not correct the underlying problem. After incurring in excess of $5,000 in expense we ultimately had to bring in another vendor to restore the system to an operational status.

Although the work you did improved water flow the problem ended up being maintenance of proper water temperature by the chiller and not a water flow problem.

That being said having more than 20 years experience in the business I was and continue to give you the benefit of the doubt, unlike you, and acknowledge that equipment of this age is like an onion and problems can run very deep. Its unfortunate that we were led to believe that this repair would resolve the issue completely, otherwise we may have thought twice about it.

That being said it was the company's intent to pay for these services. Unfortunately once the extent of the required repairs were made clear a decision was made to close the site. The intent was to make payments as funds became available and nothing more was promised. I defy you to show anything else in writing.

You were the face of the corporation. Closing the site does not negate the money owed. If there is a problem with the work negotiate a settlement. There are ethical issues here and you are on the wrong side.

There was never a problem with the work until it was time to pay for it.

Spin it any way you want, the facts are clear and indisputable. The immediate problem was the magnet was shutting down due to overheating. The water flow was about 10 liters per minute, spec is 30. I replaced the pump and got 35 liters per minute flow. The magnet never shut down again due to temp faults. The chiller temp swings were another known existing problem and are well documented in my service reports. Apparently, it was never properly addressed by you and continued to cause magnet drift and artifact. And you did not switch vendors to resolve a problem, you switch vendors to whoever does not have you on credit hold. You sent me an e-mail promising to pay the bill and never did. I can post it here if you need your memory refreshed. Don't be a deadbeat. Do the right thing. Pay the bill.

Definitely a deadbeat! Leaves tons of bills unpaid. Opens and closes companies. Has tax agencies, legal service processors, and lots of people after him. Just check his credit. It says it all
