The Center for Wound Healing, Inc. (CFWH.OB) (CFWH), a leading operator of comprehensive wound care treatment centers that offer hyperbaric oxygen therapy as well as other advanced wound care treatment modalities, announced the opening of its 35th facility, The Center for Wound Healing at University Medical Center (UMCP) at Princeton in Princeton, NJ.

The 1,724 square foot Center, which was designed, built and financed by CFWH, contains two wound treatment rooms and two hyperbaric oxygen chambers, which will be utilized by CFWH staff and Princeton HealthCare System physicians to heal chronic wounds, such as those caused by diabetes, the effects of radiation, complications from surgery, lymphedema, vascular disease and trauma.

"We are delighted to open our 35th facility with the University Medical Center at Princeton, a healthcare provider that has remained committed to providing its patients with the highest quality care available," said The Center for Wound Healing's CEO, Andrew G. Barnett. "This collaboration with UMCP furthers our strategy to provide superior, advanced wound healing facilities and management to high quality hospitals, so that they can concentrate on better serving their communities' needs.

"By establishing the University Medical Center at Princeton Center for Wound Healing we are able to provide advanced, wound care to the people of central New Jersey," said Mark T. Jones, President of UMCP. Punctuating the importance of bringing hyperbaric oxygen treatment (HBOT) to Princeton, Jones continues, "Since hyperbaric oxygen therapy involves several treatments during the course of a typical regimen, we know that patients want convenient access to care. We are very pleased to provide patients with high quality care so close to home."

Barnett continued, "We believe that facilities seeking to maintain the best quality patient care while limiting capital expenditures will look to partner with The Center for Wound Healing in developing hospital-based centers of excellence to treat the growing incidence of severe grade diabetic wounds of the lower extremities and wounds that are unresponsive to general wound care treatments."
