RSNA 2021 will take place in-person at McCormick Place in Chicago
After switching to an all-virtual format last year, the Radiological Society of North America will meet in person from November 28 through December 2 for its annual meeting at McCormick Place in Chicago.

The event will be the organization’s 107th Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting, and the theme will be “Redefining Radiology”. "We have heard from many of our regular attendees and exhibitors that they are excited and ready to get back to Chicago for the RSNA meeting, and we look forward to welcoming them. We are planning a robust in-person scientific assembly and technical exhibition, along with a virtual meeting component to enhance attendees' meeting experience,” said RSNA president Dr. Mary C. Mahoney in a statement.

The conference will once again host a showroom floor with the latest in medical imaging technology, as well as AI and 3D printing solutions, among other things. It has already reserved 442 companies as exhibitors.

Radiology stakeholders unable to attend in person will be able to participate online, with the virtual meeting featuring 100% of eligible meeting content.

Last year's RSNA meeting was completely virtual due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to this, the meeting had only been cancelled twice in its history in 1943 and 1945 due to transportation and gasoline supply issues during and immediately following World War II.

RSNA is monitoring the COVID-19 situation and investigating potential safety options for attendees and exhibitors. It has not at this time announced a formal policy decision.
