Introduction of RayIntelligence and the latest releases of RayStation and RayCare at ESTRO 2020

Press releases may be edited for formatting or style | November 29, 2020 Health IT Rad Oncology
RaySearch Laboratories AB (publ) will reveal its latest advances in oncology software at ESTRO 2020 from November 28 through December 1, 2020. Attendees can book personal online demos of treatment planning system RayStation®* and oncology information system RayCare®*. Cloud-based oncology analytics system RayIntelligence® will be presented during RaySearch Digital Satellite Symposia.

The latest release of RayStation, 10B, is expected in December 2020. New functionalities in the release now include support for brachytherapy planning with automatic channel reconstruction and powerful dwell time optimization. These features make the creation of high-quality brachy plans both faster and more consistent. In addition, the Proton PBS Monte Carlo dose engine has been migrated from the central processing unit (CPU) to the graphics processing unit (GPU). Initial performance tests show that even very large cases, such as full craniospinal irradiations, can now be computed to full clinical accuracy in just a few seconds on a standard server. The system also includes further advances in machine-learning planning for photons and robust proton planning, as well as deep-learning organ segmentation.

RayCare promotes clinical efficiency and safety by reducing routine manual tasks and handovers. Its workflow management capabilities are enhanced by the introduction of task management, support for scripting and new patient charts. RayCare 4B is expected in December 2020.
