Five Minutes in Healthcare is where I discuss current events with some of the industry's most influential leaders, as well as innovative thinkers who are working to meet the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic.

Over the last week I have had the pleasure of speaking to Matthew Michela, Don McCormack, Dr. Berndt Schmit, and Hakan M. Ilkin. Each interview is approximately five minutes long, or a few minutes over five.

In this installment, I check in with Matthew Michela, president and CEO of Life Image, about the importance of interoperability and data sharing in today's healthcare ecosystem.

In this installment, I check in with Don McCormack, CEO and founder of SouthWest Medical Resources, about the business impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

In this installment, I check in again with Dr. Berndt Schmit, associate professor of radiology at the University of Arizona, about the role of CT in COVID-19 diagnosis and the impact of the pandemic overall in Tucson.

The last time we spoke, Dr. Schmit and I discussed his charity efforts. Including the unique needs of different regions, a rural mobile outreach breast cancer screening program in Bolivia, and the over-arching challenges in keeping legacy equipment operational in places with limited resources.

In this installment, I check in with Hakan M. Ilkin, founder and CEO of brighthospital, about the subscription analytic services his company offers hospitals, and how it is supporting patient throughput and overall healthcare efficiency.

We hope you enjoy the videos. Please tell us what you think, and let us know who you would like to see interviewed next!
