Avante Health Systems has acquired Ultra Solutions, expanding its capabilities and footprint in the ultrasound market.

The addition of the ultrasound system and transducer refurbisher provides added service and repair capabilities to the Avante portfolio, and expands its inventory of parts, probes and ultrasound systems.

“The strengths of each business enhance the capabilities of the other, making the combined Avante Ultrasound platform the most robust solution in the industry for service, equipment, probe repair and parts,” Steve Inacker, president and COO of Avante Health Solutions, told HCB News.

The agreement provides Ultra Solutions with scale and reach for growth, as well as the leadership and management experience offered by Avante, and a complete suite of new products and services for its customer base. It also expands the company’s footprint on a nationwide scale, with facilities on both the east and west coasts, bringing it greater exposure to Avante customers and suppliers.

As part of the deal, Avante will provide enhanced training, development and advanced opportunities to Ultra Solutions employees by aligning them with the other Avante businesses, which include Avante Medical Surgical; Avante Rental Services; Avante Patient Monitoring; Avante Oncology Services; and Avante Diagnostic Imaging. Current roles and responsibilities of employees are not expected to materially change.

The acquisition follows another consolidation move made by Avante earlier this year when it partnered with Equipment Maintenance Solutions, a decision that expanded its footprint into service, sales, parts and rentals for MR and CT equipment.

“Avante Health Solutions is continually looking to partner with organizations that fit with our strategy and align with our culture,” said Inacker.

Additional acquisitions are further expected to expand service across all businesses.
