Top Google Searches of 2015

by Philip F. Jacobus, CEO | December 16, 2015
Having started an internet company, it is my sworn duty to keep track of what goes on with Google. Yesterday, the company unveiled the top searches of 2015.

It is amazing to me what some of the top searches were in the country.

In California, it was the Volkswagen scandal and in New York State it was "Charlie Sheen HIV." For Ohio, the leading searches were about legalized marijuana and, in Colorado, "Water On Mars" was on the minds of web surfers.

People in Seattle, Washington wanted to know about Leonard Nimoy (who passed away earlier this year) and residents of South Carolina were most interested in learning about Donald Trump and his presidential campaign. Alabamians were curious about Ben Carson and Floridians were researching concealed weapons permits.

Oklahoma wanted to know more about Caitlyn Jenner and, thank heavens, Kansas was finally able to search about winning the "The World Series."

You can go here to see what the most popular searches have been in 2015. It might amaze you.

I would like to point out that five of the top ten car searches in 2015 were for Chevrolet. In fact, the four most popular searches were Chevrolet. Maybe there is hope for Detroit yet.

For baseball fans, The New York Mets beat out everybody in search terms even though they didn't win The World Series.

Visit the site, it will amaze you.
