Radiology Business Solutions (“RBS”) announces the retirement of its CEO, and names successor

Following thirty seven years of healthcare contributions and leadership including six years guiding operations, strategy and growth for RBS, Cliff Crabtree will retire March 31, 2016. Cliff began his career as a pharmacist in his home state of Ohio at Lima Memorial Hospital quickly advancing his career contributions in Tennessee at Erlanger Medical Center and Sinai Hospital of Baltimore.

Following his move to the Detroit area in the late 90’s, he became the Director of Pharmacy services at Sinai Hospital of Detroit and Harper University Hospital in Detroit. Cliff was then selected as the Vice President of Operations for Karmanos Cancer Hospital. He was an adjunct professor at Wayne State University and served on various local and state professional pharmacy societies.

Acting on his compassionate side, in 2003 Cliff was invited to join the board of Penrickton School for Blind Children where he has served as President and remains on the board today. “It’s been an honor and pleasure to be a part of healthcare for so many years. Many thanks to the great teams and individuals that allowed me to succeed in such a rewarding environment and my wife for her unfailing support.” commented Cliff.

Cliff and Karen will spit their time between their homes in Richmond, Michigan and Orlando, Florida while Cliff continues to teach motorcycle safety for Harley Davidson and enjoy retirement.

Joining RBS in November 2015 as its COO is Brian Baker. Allowing ample time for a smooth transition, Brian has been selected to succeed Cliff in April 2016 as its CEO. Brian is a thirty-year healthcare veteran and entrepreneur. Most recently Brian founded Carealytics in Franklin, TN.

Carealytics advised healthcare on the interpretation and use of data to improve operational efficiency, consolidation and operations. Prior to Carealytics, Brian was President of Regents Health Resources, a national imaging consulting firm focused on strategy in imaging. Today Brian is an advisor on several boards including advising on quality and utilization measures in imaging for a CMS project.

Brian is well known in the radiology community as an author and international speaker. “We believe Brian’s extensive knowledge in strategy, operations, and development will be an asset for our clients and RBS.” Commented Mark Weiss M.D an RBS co-founder and practicing radiologist. “RBS is uniquely positioned in radiology with its unusual blend of operations and clinical expertise to help define quality and value in Radiology.
