Siemens AAMI 2014 CMS debate video released

by Robert Garment, Executive Editor | October 23, 2014
Siemens CMS debate was
held live at AAMI 2014
in Siemens booth
The CMS ruling on maintenance standards for imaging equipment that was promulgated in December of 2013 is still reverberating throughout the industry.

The key phrase in that document, "...require adherence to manufacturer’s recommendations and/or set specific requirements. For example, all imaging/radiologic equipment must be maintained per manufacturer’s recommendations..." has been seized upon by both the OEMs and the alternative service providers.

Siemens assembled a three-person panel to debate the pros and cons of what it all means, and might mean, and videotaped that panel in Siemens booth at AAMI's Annual Meeting in June of 2014.
