Oncology Services International (OSI) and Consensys Imaging Services announced what they're calling a "strategic alliance" to mutually expand their businesses and build upon one another's reputations as credible independent service organizations. The decision was announced via a press release sent out yesterday afternoon.
Consensys, which offers maintenance and emergency repair services for MR imaging systems, CT scanners, mammography, and ultrasound devices, will now add linear accelerators to their list of specialties by virtue of this agreement with OSI. Alternatively, OSI will now have an experienced partner to lead them into CT service, as well as other avenues of medical imaging and repair.
The respective CEOs each issued statements indicating their satisfaction with the agreement.
"We realize that many of our linear accelerator service customers are looking for similarly improved service on their CT simulator equipment," said Richard J. Hall, president and CEO of OSI. "Partnering with Consensys, a national leader in CT service and repair, allows us to expand our service options to radiation therapy facilities."
"With Consensys, we will fill those needs with a recognized and trusted leader in the CT service arena and bring further value to our customers faced with increasing challenges to maximize quality services while minimizing costs," Hall concluded.
On behalf of Consensys, Jim Spearman, president and CEO, similarly praised the reputation and expertise of his new partners at OSI.
