James Devlin talks about his new position at Digisonics

After serving as Digisonics' vice president of sales and marketing, the PACS and structured reporting company announced the promotion of James Devlin to president. DOTmed News spoke with him about his new position.

DMN: How long have you been working in the industry?
JD: 12 years.

DMN: What are the specific areas in your field that you are focused on?
JD: Structured reporting, image management, CVIS and systems integration.

DMN: What are your goals as president of Digisonics?
JD: To maintain the standard of excellence that has been the basis of Digisonics success since Dr. McSherry started the company in 1974. And continue to expand Digisonics customer base though disciplined growth by carefully selecting business partners and customers who share our vision of being the absolute best in a rapidly evolving and highly competitive market.

DMN: What excites you most about the industry these days?
JD: There are substantial changes occurring in our industry from PPACA (Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act) to Meaningful Use and the HITECH Act, which are all creating some very exciting opportunities. Healthcare technology is essential to supporting all of these initiatives.
