This device uses color touch screen technology. It is used, but appears in good condition and to be without issues. Included is the M3 and a 110 V wall adapter / battery charger The battery appears not to accept a charge and I have not investigated a replacement. New the DynaVox M3 was about $3000. We also have a Prentke Romich Words+ MessageMate 40/600 available.

The DynaVox M3 is a direct-selection or scanning symbol-based communicator designed for use by individuals with communication, speech, and cognitive disabilities. This dynamic display speech generating device offers scene-based pages that simplify message composition for individuals who encounter difficulty understanding conversations, questions, or directions; primarily use non-symbol strategies such as gestures; communicate only basic needs/information; value picture dictionaries as aids in expanding vocabulary skills; encounter difficulty building a message word-by-word; or communicate a limited number of messages in a small set of specific contexts.
Customized DynaVox InterAACT page sets provide appropriate communication tools for emergent communicators based on the communicator’s age and skill level. The pages are designed to maintain a consistent structure so that individuals can progress quickly and easily from one page set to another. Visual scenes use background and images and active areas to establish the context for communications. Picture Communication Symbol (PCS) sets are included for use in communication pages. Custom digital pictures can also be used as a background for a page, pop-up, or button symbol to add greater personal meaning.
Access methods include touch enter, touch exit, touch auto zoom, scanning (autoscan, one-switch, one-switch pause, two-switch, and inverse), auditory scanning, zoom scanning, audio touch, and mouse pause/headtrackers.
An external microphone creates crisp, high-quality audio recordings that are delivered crisply and clearly in any setting by two front speakers.
The integrated universal remote control enables users to control common household appliances such as televisions, DVD players and CD players with the M3.
Each device features a CompactFlash card port, Ethernet port, external microphone port, external speaker port, built-in internal microphone, two USB 2.0 ports, two standard switch ports, dual infrared ports.
