Abaxis (now Zoetis) Vetscan VS2 Chemistry and Vetscan HM5 Hematology System. These are 2nd Generation analyzers, which are the most current models offered. We have several systems available. All analyzers we sell are in excellent condition with only minor normal wear. The analyzers have been thoroughly cleaned and tested, and are guaranteed working upon arrival. We are very familiar with these particular analyzers and give them a thorough "tune-up" so they are ready for the new user. For the HM5, this includes bleaching of internal tubing, cleaning of wash head, cleaning of counting chamber, adjusting pneumatic motors and slides, updating software, and self-test diagnostics. For the VS2, this includes disassembly with chassis cleaning, cleaning of internal sensors, cleaning of barcode sensor, updating software, and self-test diagnostics. We have a great deal of technical experience with these systems.
Sale includes the complete system with accessories -- ready to start testing upon arrival. The only other items needed are the individual profiles/rotors for the VS2 and a reagent pack for the HM5. Sale includes:

**Optional Calibration and Quality Control Testing for HM5 ($350): To ensure the highest quality results, we always recommend that our customers calibrate their HM5 machine and run quality control testing using the normal blood control samples supplied by Abaxis. Customers are welcome to do this themselves upon receiving the machine. However, for those that prefer, we can offer to perform this service immediately before shipping your analyzer. This service is in addition to our normal refurbishment process, and includes full calibration and quality control testing. Calibration results will be included with your shipment. This additional cost is for our time to perform the service, as well as for the cost for reagents and control samples used in this process.
To add-on this service, please contact us during or after purchase and let us know you would like to add the calibration and quality control services. Please note this service is only for the HM5 analyzer. The VS2 analyzer does not require calibration.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I start using these analyzers immediately? Yes, the analyzers can be used immediately. Zoetis will provide technical support, and you can order supplies for it without issue.
Where do I order supplies? You can order from Zoetis or several distributors.
Is extended warranty available? Yes, please contact us to discuss extended warranty options.
Do you offer support in the future? Yes, most operational issues we can address in house. Other more specialized issues may have to be repaired through Abaxis directly.
Why should I consider used instead of new? For some high volume and multi-doctor practices, new analyzers make sense. But for most startup, small, and even medium sized clinics, they do not. New analyzers have a very large upfront cost or the same cost contained within a 3-5 year contract. Many times those contracts have built-in minimums for consumable orders as well. Laboratory analyzers lose value faster than most products. Many times faster than a new car. If 'life happens' and you can no longer practice, you will most likely recover only a small portion of what you paid for your new analyzers, or you will have a huge bill due to pay off your contract or loan. With used analyzers, you are not paying a huge upfront cost, and therefore can get back a majority of your investment if needed. You also are not locked into minimum consumable agreements, and can order only what you need. Simply, used analyzers offer a great deal more flexibility and sense of security moving forward
