This is part of a nasal probe based apparatus which monitors the temperature change between inspired and expired air flow. In addition to the amplifier seen in the picture a complete kit includes a battery charger, hook and loop fastener, nasal probes, nose clips, operating instructions and nicad battery.

This piece was orphaned from the charger and sensors required for its use when declared surplus by a university medical school. It is also missing the rechargeable battery found inside of a complete unit.
