Brick, NJ -- Nationwide Imaging Services is proud to announce its acquisition of Kosmic Medical, Inc. (dba Atlas Medical Technologies of California), a national provider of used medical imaging equipment. Nationwide has acquired a majority of Kosmic Medical's (dba Atlas Medical Technologies of California) California division.

This acquisition strengthens Nationwide's ability and enables them to offer unparalleled 24-hour service and support, maintenance, installation, training and financing for all diagnostic imaging equipment throughout the United States, confirming their true leadership in used medical imaging equipment sales, service and financing. Atlas Medical Technologies of Florida LLC is not part of the acquisition but will remain a close business partner of Nationwide Imaging.

Recognizing the increasing demand for refurbished equipment-a result of the budget constraints many hospitals and imaging centers are facing
today-Nationwide's Rob Manetta saw the value of getting bigger to better serve Nationwide's globe-spanning customer base. He began a search to identify other capable companies that, like Nationwide, inspired customer confidence. "It became clear," said Mr. Manetta, "that by acquiring selected assets of Kosmic Medical (dba Atlas Medical Technologies of California), along with their service and support staff, our customers would greatly benefit from the wealth of experience present in the combined organizations. Kosmic Medical, Inc. (dba Atlas Medical Technologies of California) is a highly respected organization known for outstanding service and ethical business practices. Kosmic Medical's (dba Atlas Medical Technologies of California) founder Rick Stockton will remain in a key position within the new organization. With over 25 years of experience in the medical equipment industry, Stockton has worked in almost all modalities Nationwide sells and now services. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The move by Nationwide adds even more warehouses on both the east and west coasts of the United States, in addition to expansion of their newly built, state-of-the-art facilities in Brick, NJ, which will be over 17,700 square feet after completion. Nationwide's acquisition adds a 25,000 square foot warehouse in California, totaling 42,700 square feet of warehouse space. This increase in space will allow Nationwide to more efficiently serve its clients throughout the U.S. and accommodate their overseas clients by bringing all crating, staging, refurbishing and storage services in-house. With engineers strategically placed across the U.S., the de-installation process becomes less expensive for overseas clients. With the addition of a fleet of brand new air ride trucks, quality assurance is guaranteed when moving equipment across the nation.

In addition to this acquisition, Nationwide Imaging Services, a high quality refurbished and used medical imaging equipment provider in Brick, NJ, was recently appointed an approved provider of Siemens Proven Excellence refurbished systems in the United States. Siemens, a leading manufacturer of diagnostic imaging equipment, chose Nationwide Imaging Services for this appointment due to their high sales volume, their unparalleled product knowledge, and industry respect.

Rob Manetta is also a founding member of The International Association of Medical Equipment Remarketers and Services (IAMERS), an organization
dedicated to creating a professional, secondary diagnostic imaging market by bringing together leading dealers, leasers, refurbishers and services committed to ethics and professionalism within the industry. Both Mr. Manetta and Mr. Stockton sit on the board of IAMERS, as well as serving as senior advisers to the group.
